Dar al-Salam will host the beloveds who visit the holy land. and the first activity will be holding Sidi's one year passing anniversary 11/11/2016 in Jerusalem which is going to be a 6 day event, and all his beloved students are invited.

Stay in Dar al-Salam which in the past housed the Kindergarten and has now been transformed into a zawiya and learn how you can participate in the future in reaching out to help the poor and the children that come by on a continual basis.

Participate in early morning Fajr Prayer in the Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Al-Aqsa Mosque, also known as Al-Aqsa and Bayt al-Muqaddas, is the third holiest site in Islam and is located in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Visit Sidi's Tomb - Followed By a Memorial Gathering

Travel to the site of Sidi's tomb in Jerusalem followed by a memorial gathering where all the beloveds will share what they like about what they have experienced with Sidi through the time they knew him.

Sufi Sessions With Local Sufi Brothers and Sisters

Enjoy meals and community time together with our local brother and sisters, as well as, regularly scheduled Sufi Sessions to ask any questions in the areas of e.g. lifestyle, spirituality & health.

Visit Zawiyat al-Adawiya

Visit Zawiyat al-Adawiya, a Sufi mosque on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, which contains a crypt with a tomb attributed to Rabi'a al-'Adawiyya and the site where Jesus was raised to the heavens, and the last supper.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • Q.What are the actual dates of the trip?

      A.The activities start on November 11th and end in the 16th.  The 17th is the last day, no events are scheduled, allowing you the freedom to spend your time as you wish.

    • Q.Is airfare included in the price?

      A.No, you will need to make your own travel arrangements to Jerusalem.  Once there, all transportation will be provided to scheduled events.   The local airport is Tel Aviv Ben-Gurion (TLV).

       

    • Q.Is a visa required to travel to Jerusalem?

      A.Americans, Canadians and citizens of most western countries need just a passport to come to Israel: no visa is required. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date you enter the country.

    • Q.What will a typical day of schedule look like?

      A.Each day will start with the early morning Fajr Prayer in the Aqsa Mosque for those who choose to attend. After which, there will be a different scheduled activity and most days will end with Dhikr after Isha prayer.

    • Q.What kind of dress is required from the participants?

      A.When visiting religious communities, or Jerusalem as a whole, you will need to dress and act conservatively. Women should cover their arms and legs and wear some sort of hair covering, like a scarf. Shorts are not acceptable on women or men.

    • Q.Will there be a lot of walking on the trip?

      A.There will not an excessive amount of walking, transportation will be available all the time. We do highly recommend that you wear comfortable shoes.

    • Q.How many participants will be allowed to join in on this trip?

      A.There is a limit of 100 participants allowed to join on this trip.

    • Q.Is it safe to travel to Israel?

      A.Israel is an extremely safe country to visit and tour. In 2012, close to four million tourists came to Israel, an all-time record, and all of them went back home again safe and sound.
